I went with Shi Hong, Tat Chin and Boon Wee to the polyclinic today. We had to go for the influenza immunisation 2 weeks before our trip to Hong Kong. Well, I was on the dot as usual and they were late as usual too. Tat Chin broke along his girlfriend. that's strange. So we went to Tampines polyclinic like some country bumpkins who didn't know what to do when we stepped in. The 4 of us took just one queue number and sat down, preparing to wait for 30 patients before us. Luckily one of the ladies directed us to the immunisation room, which also meant that we didn't have to wait at all. The waiting room was filled with mothers and their babies, making us wonder if we are in the right place after all.

While we were waiting for the nurse, we started having cold feet. We discussed whether it was really necessary. Hah, oh gosh, and we are going to the army next year. I was the lucky number 1 to go in to have the jab. The nurse was talkative, and telling me to relax. As if it's my first time jabbing. The funny thing is that Shi Hong actually asked the nurse if the needle was long. (....)

It wasn't painful. Just a pinch and it was over. No side-effects. Next we went to extend our passports and look for the game shop. Tat Chin went off with his girlfriend at this point. We walked around liked some lost kids trying to look for the shop under Mr Gabriel's instructions, but couldn't find it. So king Mr Gabriel came to buy for us and met us at Boon Wee's house.

Now, it was funny planning for our trip at his house. We were hovering over the map trying to find places and attractions which might be fun. We were so inexperienced at such things and I'm afraid we would get lost there. Furthermore, it's not easy trying to find places to have a nice meal. What we found were seafood restaurants and more seafood. We planned to 21st December and stopped there. Out of places to go except Portland Street (a joke). By the way, it's my birthday on that day and they are supposed to treat me to a night outing (another joke). Haha. Th 2 jokes are linked, by the way. Decipher it yourself. Anyway, it was a fun and fruitful outing today. Tomorrow I'm meeting my secondary school council friends. It will be another fun outing and I'm looking forward to it.
