I was just reading Zenon's blog of JC, poly and hokkien 'peng' factions. I suddenly realised I belong to the hokkien 'peng' faction! Haha.. Really.. One takes little notice about one's surroundings until someone reminds him or he moves to a new environment. That's the problem with humans. We don't tend to cherish the things we have but instead yearn for things we don't have. We look at things outside when travelling in a vehicle but not the things in the vehicle itself. We take things for granted and want more. It is only after we lose everything that we start to regret and learn how to appreciate everything around us, in the hard way. Is it just me or is it a valid to everyone? I believe life would be so much more fufilling if everyone takes notice of the very little things going on around us. Things like how crows walk, shapes of the clouds and the little actions of people around us. It is interesting and also provides the much needed colours to our otherwise dull life.
