Never Stop Dreaming

I went to visit my grandmother yesterday. Her mind is a whirl now. She forgets things in a matter of seconds. Her health is fading away. She grabs her leg in pain absent-mindedly more frequently now. It is as if she forgets the pain after a few seconds, until it returns again. It is a blessing in disguise though, at least she won't have to suffer constantly. It is heart-wrenching to see a once active and bubbly person be reduced to a bag of bones, deprived of any movement from the bed. Her deteoriation happened so fast. And most of the time, I am away in camp. I am worried, very worried about her. One funny thing happened though. She suddenly had the mind to buy 4D. What's more, of all the people present, she specifically asked my 11 year old cousin to buy for her. Strange.

My back is hurting from the long period of lying in the jungle and straining my back to look out for the enemy. My kneecap seems to be cracking too. All my efforts will pay off in 3 weeks. Next 2 weeks will be in camp again. Will definitely be homesick.

There was one piece of news which perked me up last week. NUS business school is offering double degrees! I was choosing between business and law after getting my results. Now I can have the best of both worlds. I know the course will be tough, so that's where army training kicks in. Haha. At least this type of hard work is worth it. It is a ticket to a very good future. Yet to apply for it though, not so early. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Just went for my usual sushi buffet. Really missed my JC days. Everytime I see people on the streets, I go green with envy. They have the time to stroll back home, eat slowly and watch TV till midnight everyday. Not to mention going out partying and stuff. And here I am, keeping track of every second, so as not to waste any of it. Every second of a Sunday is the most precious time in my life now. Even more precious than the night before a major A Level paper. By the way, exactly 1 year from now, I will complete my National Service. Cause for celebration huh? I will celebrate it with Aloysius on the ferry later. Haha!
