Specially for....
Valentine's Day. I wanted to reserve this post for tomorrow. Plan B. Just in case I'm too tired.
Romantic love is seen as a deep, ineffable feeling of intense and tender attraction shared in passionate or intimate attraction and intimate interpersonal and sexual relationships.
-From Wikipedia
I like the phrase "ineffable feeling".
People always ask me,
"Why do you like her?"
and
"what do u like about her?"
I can't answer for sure. That is where that phrase comes in. It leads to the word "attraction". Attraction is a very unfathomable. It comes when you least expect it.
Valentine's Day is a special day. The crap about "everyday is valentine's day" doesn't apply to me. We are actually celebrating love, not just an opportunity to date someone with V-day as a backdrop. So, if you don't love someone, don't ask her out on a date on this very special day. I'd rather spend the night at home shaking my leg than do something silly.
WARNING.. Spoilers ahead. Females stay out.
MY opinion:
Before love is always attraction. You have to be attracted to someone, no matter how much, for things to start going. That is why looks is important, for strangers to fall in love. Character is important for friends to fall in love. This mutual attraction is the first ticket for the guy to enter her life. The guy works hard and the girl gradually becomes more and more attracted. Along the way, she drops hints of her willingness to go one step further. This is the tricky part, somewhere along the way, they might find a few glaring problems with one another. But the attraction is so strong that most couples go on to the next stage. This is when the guy becomes bolder and the girl opens up. After this, they would be on the highway to an earth-shaking love story.
Love has to be 2-sided. From starting to end. If only 1 tries to stir up feelings, maintain it or break it, chances are 1 would only end up in heartbreak.
All plain talk. Reality is a bit different.
