The Call

The China woman on the telephone strikes again! They work even on weekends. Goodness gracious!

Several months back, this china woman called me on my mobile and tried to con me using the Singapore High Court scam. It was reported in the newspapers several weeks later. It is too tedious to go through it again.

This morning, I received a phone call.....while I was sleeping. Irritating! The moment I heard her voice, I had this urge to hang up on her. She sounded exactly like the woman who tried to con me the other time. I think these people are professionals. Each one of them have a book full of numbers. When their boss comes up with some idiotic new theory to con people, these telephone operators begin their work. How they got my number is a mystery. These people are really ridiculous. Anyway, this woman was blabbering something in Chinese chinese which I didn't catch. Well, obviously. I just woke up. Then she started pestering me for my name which I refused to give. Even insurance agents don't pester for names. I felt like telling her to try again when they come up with a new con scheme and when they do, use a different person who speaks English instead.

After getting rid of her by telling her I was busy (busy sleeping) and to call back at night, I tried to get back to sleep again. Unsurprisingly, I couldn't. The best thing is that she really called back at 5pm. Guess what? 5pm is knock-off time. She was trying to hook me again before wrapping up for the day. This time, I was really busy with work and just rejected the call (unknown number). These people are making it a habit to disturb me when I am sleeping or doing work. She better not try me again. I will just reply in Tamil and get her to delete my number once and for all. How do you say "blistering barnacles" in tamil?
