周杰伦 - 蒲公英的約定

Ok I am doing this for my OLD friend.

Mmmm.. It's a nice song. I was first attracted to the melody. When I studied the lyrics just now, it made the song nicer.

I think this song brings listeners back to schooling years. Secondary school, JC or university. School love is the most carefree. No worries about money, future or work stress. The greatest fear or obstacle in the relationship is if their parents will find out about it. And because there aren't any of these worries, the couple concentrates only on the love between them and this is what makes it so sweet and romantic. This is the impression the song gives me. Pure, innocent love.

But it is precisely because of this setting of a carefree life, many people take things for granted. For example, the couple is contented to just spend time together because they know it will be the same tomorrow and the day after and etc. So time passes by comfortably, familiarly and unknowing to them, quickly. Although there is love between them, it is an unspoken love. Obvious to a bystander but unlcear to either party.

When the time comes to finally graduate, to leave the carefree setting, the place where the unspoken and innocent love blossomed, a small problem arises. Both are very close. But they will question if their relationship is just friendship or love? No one knows and no one dares to ask. What if it all turns out to be a false love? There are two endings. The best would be one will pick up the courage to express this unspoken love. The couple then continue the relationship but with the security that they love each other. The worst ending would be that both leave it as it is. They will continue to be friends after graduation, but will gradually drift apart. After all, they know each other as only a 'friend'.

Which ending will prevail? It only depends on how brave the couple is willing to be in the pursuit of love.
