kfc!
when i was on my way to do some shopping at ntuc, i spotted a kfc bike turning into a carpark. thinking that there was a kfc outlet somewhere near and craving for the mmmmmm chicken they have (i was not paid to advertise), i went in the direction of the bike. well, u know how the blocks of flats can be a maze, i got lost after making a number of turns. no kfc! the bike disappeared too. there is not a single fast-food restaurant here! grrr..
back in ntuc, i filled my basket with cup noodles, biscuits and chocs. i felt like a super unhealthy person leading a bachelor-style life. attempting to ease my guilt, i bought some bread so that i don't have to go down and buy lunch if i wake up late. and i wouldn't have to endure another episode of shirt-worn-inside-out.
and to be honest, the mini hdb shopping district was much quieter than this flat. it seems like someone is playing a prank on me. but all at once, noisy activities started popping out around. to the back, there is drilling of concrete (as early as 9am can you believe it?!), there is wayang to the side, there is a funeral in the front (not blaming you though). in the evening, the kids will start to play catching below my window. sometimes in the weeeee hrs of the morning, ah bengs will gather on the void deck of the opposite block to have fun.
